On January 8th, Shuichi Ito, the General Representative of the Japan Cultural Exchange Center, led a delegation to visit the Shandong Provincial Department of Education. Li Peng, a member of the Provincial Education Working Committee, a member of the Provincial Education Department Party Group, and Deputy Director, met with the delegation.

Li Peng introduced to the delegation the development of education in Shandong and the exchange and cooperation in education with Japan. He hoped that both sides would actively implement the important consensus reached at the second meeting of the China Japan high-level cultural exchange and consultation mechanism, and further strengthen cooperation in building exchange and cooperation platforms, promoting high-level cooperative education, deepening cooperation in the field of scientific and technological innovation, and enhancing youth exchanges. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on the next steps of cooperation and reached multiple consensuses in further expanding the scope of cooperation, broadening the scope of cooperation, and enhancing the level of cooperation.

Officials from the Department of International Affairs and Shandong Normal University participated in the event.
